Who’s Daisy?

Daisy is a London-based jazz vocalist originally from Cheltenham, UK.

Daisy’s first major appearances on the jazz scene were as lead vocalist for Gloucestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra beginning in 2015. In this role she performed at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival and the Royal Albert Hall. These performances alongside her other early work as a vocalist drove Daisy to begin a career in music. This started with her undergraduate degree at the University of Birmingham.

During her time in Birmingham, Daisy held the role of vocalist for the University of Birmingham Jazz Orchestra from 2017-2020 and also managed the UoBMS Jazz Collective. She made many appearances on the Birmingham Jazz scene at East Side Jazz Club, The Spotted Dog, CBSO Centre, B:Music at Town Hall Symphony Hall, Warehouse Sessions, and the Dark Horse.

After obtaining First-Class Honours studying music, she released her debut EP ‘Until Now’ in 2022. This project, supported by a band of Birmingham musicians,  followed her experiences into womanhood, using natural imagery in her lyrics to touch on topics of loss and personal growth.

Following the success of this project, Daisy has continued to hone her craft in London studying for her Master’s in Jazz at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and as a vocalist with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra. It is in London that she has continued to perform and create the powerful new music, recently performing at Ronnie Scott’s, Oliver’s Jazz Bar, and The Royal Albert Hall.

Daisy has recently debuted her hotly anticipated new single ‘Riversong’, which was released with a sold-out event in Bermondsey and is now available on all major streaming platforms.

Daisy also works as the Director of Music at Francis Holland Preparatory School, where she dedicates her practice to nurturing the talents of young female musicians, helping and inspiring them to develop their love for music.
